Welcome to our new website!

Hello seekers of residential masonry help! After scanning the web for a site that can help homeowners with masonry issues, I couldn’t find many, and I decided it was time to help.
Hi! I’m John Cawley and I’ve been in the masonry business for over twenty years. Wow where did the time go? I‘ve been very successful in the masonry business, and thought that giving back to people could only bring me more good karma.

My site will be geared toward the homeowner but can be helpful for a young person who maybe is interested in a masonry career and is looking for a few tips.

What you’ll find beneath these hallowed pages is all free. That’s right folks, no books to buy; only great tips on everything masonry with a little human touch. I do have some  sponsors that will be coming onboard and that will help to off set the cost of giving away such wonderful advice.

Help with masonry.com is going to go where no masonry site has gone. We’re going to show you how to stone point. We’re going to fix broken concrete. We’re going to patch stucco. Help with masonry.com will be your one site that you can go back to time and time again with questions and research. We will be bringing tips, ideas and how to’s throughout the site. I’ll rate each project from easy to hard.

Inside you’ll find brick issues that we’ve come across and how we solved them. We’ll explore design ideas when it comes to patios. Different types of stone paths and walkways will be discussed. There is so much that I’ll be able to help people with when it comes to their masonry projects. I’ve seen almost every issue that you could dream up and found ways to resolve them. Every job is important no matter what the size.

For the really daring types out there we’ll be talking about stone retaining walls. We’ll show you the basics of building a stone retaining wall and the tricks about repairing them. Help with masonry.com will also help homeowners with questions that should be asked when getting an estimate on a project that is just too big or too time consuming for a homeowner. When the project starts, what should you be looking for as the project progresses? What is expected from the contractor after the job is complete? All these questions will be answered from within.

I know brick, stone, concrete, waterproofing, stucco, and flagstone all seem very exciting to you but not as fun as all the great and not so great people that I’ve come across in my twenty years out in the field. I would love to share some of these wonderful personalities with you, just to spice up the site a little bit. I certainly don’t want my site to drag on without a little fun. If you’re not having fun in life it’s only going to pass by. So go have some fun with the site and become involved in it. Post a comment or help someone out with a solution. Maybe together we can make a difference even if it’s with a Help with masonry web site.
